Objectification and…Men?

by Jimquisition

For any guy that responds to women’s objectification in any media (yes, this video pertains to video games specifically, but it still applies to all other forms of media.) with “well men are objectified too!”, sit the fuck down and watch.

Yes good.

I am starting to kinda love this guy lol

this is pretty much all that has to be or needs to be said on the matter, watch it and arm yourself for the next time some fucks try to invalidate what you say because they themselves haven’t experienced it

It must be Good Youtube Day on my dash!

“…when we excuse homophobia as a matter of opinion instead of treating it as a destructive social illness, we invite fear to explode into violence…If we are ever to scrape the black rot of prejudice from the heart of our nation, we must stop excusing those who give it expression and even excuse. The next time someone dares to say, “Just because I don’t approve of homosexuality doesn’t make me a bigot,” we must all answer back, “Yes, it does. Not only does it make you a bigot, it makes you a criminal, a danger to me, my family, my community, my city, and my country.”’

You should ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS source your references. “The newer one looks better” or “well people vector/trace show poses all the time” IS NOT A VALID EXCUSE to flat out steal someone else’s art.

It’s also ridiculously easy to image search. Not only is it a slap in the face to the artist who inspired you, those asspats you get for eyeballing aren’t really for you at all, they are for the original artist who actually put forth the effort. It’s nice you can copy someone’s pose to an extent. Anyone can do that. What actual skill do you have independently? It’s a lot more satisfying to earn your own praise. Plus you won’t harvest a reputation for being an unprofessional jackass. Now to put it in blunt terms for the clueless little trolls in the reblogs, as someone who has had their work ripped off whole and in part many times:Artists don’t create works so entitled shits can do a Google search and think they own everything they see. Repeat after me. Artists are not your personal source of stock. Stop riding coattails for hollow kissups you haven’t earned and make your own art, if you can. Because if you have to eyeball so hard, you need some serious practice. That image comparison up there is a fine example of illustrating who actually comprehends style and anatomy, and who is just aping it. The original artist learned to draw. Why can’t you?And if you can’t, why can’t you credit the hand you’re holding?Don’t be that unprofessional jackass. If it was good enough to inspire you, CREDIT IT.

tehflah said: heh, I use some pretty boring looking pets on my hunter. I’ve never been BM long enough to even warrant trying to get a spirit beast. I guess I just want the darn thing to be useful :b

They can be handy for solo play with a pocket heal (which actually stacks if you glyph for Stampede to use only your current pet), but I run Survival for groups. <3 Improved Serpent Sting.

When I tame it’s because I like the skin and/or need to provide buffs. I like being a Swiss Army Knife as a hunter too. I have rares, but I have never tamed “because they’re rare”. I can appreciate having space now to actually allow room for exotics for dual spec, but ffs, it doesn’t mean all slots must be filled asap. Keep hoping for hydras to become tamable. >:U

Doppel in Warcraft? This calls for making a guild named <Punaise>.

mylittlechangeling said: haarr! I’ve yet to see what has happened to hunters, but I haven’t much to complain about. :U leveling up hunters have been fun!

>:U Which server why have I not friended you.

I feel sorry for new hunters in Warcraft. Most have to deal with CRZ, and all of us have to deal with the latest nerfbat, but new hunters now have to deal with swarms of hoarders who omg can’t live without this rare given up ages ago because it was not bling enough but now there’s 50 stable slots.

Morbidly curious, I found even the Molten Front is packed like Cata was new.

Ghostcrawler, why did you not stick to your guns. inb4 new rares and a fresh cry of WAH 50 STABLE SLOTS IS NOT ENOUGH DON’T JUDGE

Yeah, I’m judging you. I’d worry more about how to make the most of these latest class changes, not a PvP pet you’ll never take out unless you want to show off to the scores of other hunters who had the exact same idea, to the point common pet skins are the rarity.
